Continuing its history of expansion in order to serve the needs of the community, the Corona Police Department has moved into a brand new facility. Population increases have led to the need for new personnel, new equipment and new technology in order to keep crime rates down. “The new station will certainly allow us to maximize the talent and commitment that all our personnel have for the safety of the community. The entire community should feel very proud about the new station and definitely will benefit from the contributions that will come from this and future generations of the Corona Police Department,” said Captain Ray Cota.

Free money! Rather, YOUR money that you didn't know you had. State treasuries have billions of dollars in unclaimed money from various sources such as dormant bank accounts, old dividend checks, and refunds you may never have known you were owed. So take your money back! There are many websites that offer to search for your money for a fee, but these two sites are free (you may be responsible for a small notarization fee for your signature).
Unclaimed.org and
missingmoney.com cover all 50 states between the two of them. Make sure to check for unclaimed money in each state that you have lived or done business in. The average claim amount for those who collected their previously unclaimed money last year was $900.

Throughout Corona’s 123 year history, there have been periods when city leaders have had to grapple with tremendous growth and subsequent increases in the population. So it was a century ago as is reflected in a 1907 Corona Independent headline proclaiming Corona to be “the biggest small city in California and growing like a lusty giant” as the area was in the midst of a booming growth period much like what took place over the past two decades.

This was a 19% increase from the previous year. Many people came from outside our community to adopt at the Corona Shelter and appreciated that the adoption fee had been waived. If a family was not able to adopt, they sponsored one of the pets for the Home for the Holidays event.
