Concert on the Green: L.A. vation!

As we wrap up the series of Concerts on the Green for this year, Corona is proud to announce the last performance by the sensational U2 coverband, L.A. vation August 2. More than just your typical U2 cover band, L.A. vation takes their music to new heights as a legitimate tribute band. Imagine a Rock and Roll tribute show so realistic it will overwhelm and captivate the audience with every string of guitar, every beat of the drum, every note of the song…L.A. vation is that band and U2 is that inspiration.

Based in Los Angeles, California, L.A. Vation derives its name from the song “Elevation”, the third single released from U2′s 2000 album, All That You Can’t Leave Behind. Lead by lead singer, Jason Thiesen performing as Bono, this quartet has left no stone unturned to deliver the most accurate tribute to U2, the greatest rock and roll band of its generation!  Along with Bart Davis, who recreates the tech guitar wizardry of “The Edge,” bassist John Classick supplies the melodic low end of Adam Clayton. And true to his real-life counterpart, Larry Mullen Jr., drummer/music director Jorgen Ingmar Alofs provides the heart, soul and attention to detail that gives a striking resemblance to U2!

L.A. vation has performed in Europe, The Netherlands, Mexico, Honduras, Dominican Republic, and all over the United States of America, and has many more international shows coming up.

So come out and enjoy a night of great music as Corona High School Dance Crew will perform on the Corona South Lawn at City Hall [MAP] and interact with the audience beginning at 6:30 p.m. Throughout the evening please support local Boy Scout Troop 251 by purchasing food and refreshments ranging from hot dogs and burgers to snow cones and sodas. Early birds receive a $1.00 off any combos! What better way to enjoy the last Concert on the Green with friends and family!
