Drive Safe: Drive 4 Life

Are you a parent or guardian of a young driver? Do you want your children and young loved ones to remain safe behind the wheel of their car? Of course you do!

Prevent your young driver from becoming a statistic. Help them develop the critical thinking and driving skills necessary to be a safe driver whether they’re alone, with you, or with a group of friends. So, how to help? Bring them to Drive 4 Life: a dynamic presentation consisting of videos, guest speakers, and interactive role playing that will allow participants to experience a mock trial and field sobriety tests. Drive 4 Life is a powerful program that brings to life the consequences of unsafe driving to teenagers and their parents. It is designed for young drivers between the ages of 15 ½ and 19 who have a driver’s license, a learner’s permit, or are about to get one.

The goal of the program is to educate our young drivers and their parents in an effort to promote traffic safety on our roadways and to prevent fatal traffic collisions.  The program focuses on the four most common factors that lead to fatal traffic collisions involving young drivers: Speeding, Driving Under the Influence, Seatbelts, and Street Racing are all addressed in detail.

This program is Free and parents are encouraged to attend, as we address many of their questions and concerns about vehicle code compliance and safety recommendations.  This event will take place on Saturday August 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Corona Police Department Training Center, located at 730 Corporation Yard Way in Corona [MAP].
