Rachel PisanoRachel Pisano was born and raised in San Diego, CA. After graduating high school, she attended the University of California, Los Angeles, to study Communications. While writing and journalism has always been a passion and choice of study, lately it has been more of a hobby; taking a backseat to the duties of mother and wife. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and son adventuring around Corona and its surrounding cities, often times just jumping in the car with no plans to see what the day has to offer. She also is host to the blog, “Two Boys and a Lady,” sharing their adventures and giving useful beauty and domestic tips for stay at home moms with a flair for frugality.Rachel is also a Certified Phlebotomy Technician with an innate aptitude in the medical field. Because education has always been a cornerstone in her life, she has aspirations of returning to school for Registered Nursing. Rachel believes learning is a never ending process, a value in which she hopes to instill within her child and a main reason she enjoys being involved with Inner Circle Corona. |
Cindy Bridges-VoseHello, my name is Cindy Vose, and I am currently a stay at home mother of two boys; one rambunctious three year old and one pretty laid-back five month old. Though I taught middle school and loved it, nothing prepared me for having my own children! Questions, such as “Why is there macaroni and cheese in the dryer?” and “Jacob, why are you sitting IN the refrigerator?” are a common occurrence in my house. I never knew I would have to explain why we do not lick windows, eat Nesquick Powder with a spoon, or put crayons in the microwave. I love every minute of it!Growing up, I lived in Lake Mathews with enough pets all my friends claimed I lived on a small farm. From 1st to 8th grade, my brother and I attended St. Edwards, a private school in Corona. I graduated from Norco High in 1999, moved to Los Angeles to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Communications from the University of Judaism, and promptly moved back to Corona. Before having my sons, I was a student teacher in Corona-Norco and a full-time teacher in Riverside Unified School District. For over 25 years, I have lived in, and been involved with, the Corona community. As a student I enjoyed writing, both fiction and non-fiction, and chose to major in Literature and Communications so I could continue to develop this passion. In addition to writing, my interests include politics, learning about other people and cultures, and playing outdoors with my boys as much as possible! Writing for the Inner Circle newsletter has been such a positive experience for me, as I have truly enjoyed meeting different members of our Corona community. |
Kim VandervortKim Vandervort has lived in Corona since 2004. While her day job is teaching English Composition at California State University, Fullerton, she spends the majority of her time operating a taxi service for her two beautiful daughters. On the rare occasions she’s allowed out of the car, she can be spotted around town volunteering at her daughters’ schools, being a softball team mom, helping out on the soccer field, or working with her girls’ girl scout troops.Somewhere in there, she finds time to indulge her passion for writing, which she took up at the age of eleven as an outlet for her overactive imagination. Since then, she has written a variety of mostly-unpublished pieces that will never see the light of day. With practice, her writing and marketing skills improved, enabling her make the transition to published author in 2008. Writing for the Corona Inner Circle is her first attempt at non-fiction, and she is excited to have this opportunity to give back to the community that has given her family so much.
