Have you ever wondered what music industry options are available to you, how to get be a part of it and how to deal with stage fright or how to make a special connect with your audience from the stage?
Beyond the Music is a new class at Kids Rock Free® in Corona with free and low-cost music lessons in guitar, keyboard, drums, bass and voice for over 13 years. This innovative class is a partnership with music industry specialists that explores fundamental components of the Music Biz. Calling all young singers, musicians, thespians, band members, interested students ages 12 – 18. Enrollment in Beyond the Music is open to the public.
These are some of the topics of the 8-week class of one-hour sessions on Saturdays at 10 a.m. starting Saturday, Sept. 29th at the Fender Museum, 365 N. Main St., Corona [MAP]. There will also be professionals teaching voice training techniques, the essentials of sound equipment setup, self-promotion tips, contracting your own gigs, what college scholarship opportunities there are and how to best present yourself for a successful educational future. Come pick the brains of people who make their living as music professionals and connect with other performing students.

At Kids Rock Free music students progress from beginner to advanced and have the opportunity to join a combo band, the drumline or a vocal performance group. The performance opportunities are many and diverse; play at a community fair, on Fender Center’s indoor stage for family and friends or open for a headliner’s band at the Steve Miller TLC Outdoor Amphitheater. The Music Education Fall Session starts on Sept. 24th. There are openings in music classes at all levels for new and experienced students.
