Knock, knock whose there? It’s Adrian. Adrian “Adee” McCovy was born and raised in one of the toughest neighborhoods in South Los Angeles: Nickerson Gardens in Watts, CA. He’s a comedian, actor, producer, and host.  Adee’s Comedy roots can be traced back nearly to his birth, but his art form is derived from his experiences in the streets of Watts.

Adee always had a love for comedy. His uncles told him knock knock jokes, or just funny stories. He was a real practical joker, and was not afraid to play The Dozens with kids or even just your momma jokes. This was part of growing up in the streets of South LA. Soon he began to act them out and they became even funnier—that’s when they started calling him “FUNNY.” He was nicknamed Funny by his Uncle Wayne, and it stuck for a long time.

Later, Adee watched stand-up comedians such as Eddie Murphy, Damon Wayans, Robin Harris and many others that helped influence his style of comedy; which continues to grow as his life has changed and he’s had more experiences. Adee was never afraid of the audience. He’s always felt comfortable on stage so it just seemed right that he embark on a stand up career.

Although, Adee’s Comedy Career didn’t begin until 2008, he always knew he was Funny. Adee’s jump start into Comedy came off as a dare while hanging out with friends. He was giving the opportunity to get on stage by Sean Burns, who showed him the ins and outs of the industry.
That was just the beginning of Adee’s Comedy Career. He has performed on stage at the Improv’s, Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, Rio in Vegas, Uptown Comedy Club in Atlanta, GA just to name a few. He is founder of OMG Comedy at Corona, and Adee’s Laff Lounge in Victorville.

Adee has brought Live Standup Comedy to the city of Corona through his OMG Comedy at Mill Creek Restaurant [MAP] every other Wednesday.
