New Meter Replacement Program!

The Corona Department of Water & Power has contracted with T.E. Roberts, Inc. to replace old water meters with new meters throughout our service area. This is a long-term project and will be ongoing. There is no charge to our customers for the meter replacement; work is being performed as part of the Department’s routine maintenance schedule.

All workers will have identification that shows they are an employee of T.E. Roberts, Inc., and will have a vehicle that is clearly marked with the T.E. Roberts, Inc. logo, shown here. In addition, customers will receive notification via post card a week before their meter is scheduled to be replaced.

All work will be performed during Corona Department of Water & Power business hours, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

What’s Involved in Replacing Your Water Meter?
If T.E. Roberts, Inc. comes to your home or business to change your water meter this will require your water service to be off for approximately 15 minutes. On the day that your water meter will be replaced, a worker from T.E. Roberts, Inc. will attempt to contact you in person to inform you that your water will be off. The process is simple:  your service is turned off, the old meter is removed, the new meter is installed, and then your water service is turned back on. The worker from T.E. Roberts, Inc. may turn on an available hose spigot to release air from your water line, and you will be notified once your water service has been restored.

Please don’t hesitate to contact the Department of Water and Power Customer Service group at (951) 736-2321 if you have any questions or concerns regarding this project.
