Summer at Corona Heritage Park

Have you been to the Corona Heritage Park Rose Garden? This past June was their antique and collectibles faire and they had a great turnout!  It was a great success, as it always is!

These are not your garage sale antiques, they are the real thing. What made this year different was that they had a lot more plant material than usual.  Two members sold their homes and gave them all the plants. Marla Benson brought large containers of empty vegetable cans and they were all planted with vegetables. They ended up with three times more plant material than they’ve ever had!

They had so much, they began setting up as early as 6 a.m. and the Faire was from about 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The Rose Garden is on the road to a successful upcoming future. They are already drawing up future plans and have come up with a budget for the new year and have started mulching and setting up weed cloth.

The Rose Garden Society is always prepared, but they need your help! Those who love to garden, and perhaps those who especially love roses, are invited to join the Society. Membership is $30 per year. Funds received are used to purchase gardening items and promote gardening. Meetings take place the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the Museum Board Room at Heritage Park, 510 W Foothill Pkwy, Corona, CA 92882 [MAP]. If you would like further information you may contact: Cynthia Dee, President (951) 371-0048.
