The Corona Public Library has been in existence in Corona since 1895. The classic services of a public library remain in place, but the overall services have grown and changed.

City of Corona Hosts a City Hall Open House

Corona City Hall is hosting an Open House Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the public is invited to come meet our departments, ask questions and learn more about the services and programs for Corona residents and businesses. Join us for some fun and Games! Explore the different departments and participate in our scavenger hunt. There will be plenty of activities for children and giveaways for all.

Blood Drive at City Hall

The need for blood increases during the summer months as people are more likely to be traveling and active at this time. These factors increase the risk of being involved in mishaps that require blood transfusion. The City of Corona, in conjunction with LifeStream, will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. Please click here to schedule an appointment or feel free to walk-in the day of. For every lifesaving donation participants will receive a coupon for a free pint of Baskin-Robbins ice cream (while supplies last) and points that may be redeemed for items through LifeStream’s online donor store at www.LStream.org.

Summer is now in session and so are the Concerts on the Green! The City’s popular concert series brings cool tunes to those hot summer nights so bring your friends and family, roll out a blanket, pop up that lawn chair, and enjoy the sunset over Corona listening to sweet harmonies by talented performers.

The City of Corona is seeking young adventurers for its Summer Day Camps! The City offers two summer camp programs: Adventure Day Camp (550 S. Vicentia Avenue) and Auburndale Day Camp (1045 Auburndale) an action-packed way for your children to spend their summer.

Beware of Utility Scam in Corona

The City of Corona Department of Water & Power (DWP) recently became aware of a scam that occurred within the city. Telephone scammers posing as utility workers have been threatening customers with immediate termination of service for non-payment, demanding credit card information. If the customer did not have a credit card, they asked the customer to use or obtain a PayPal card.
