Bicycles for Children Charity Gives Away 743 Bicycles

The locally based, non-profit, Bicycles for Children recently provided 743 bicycles to over 100 elementary schools, as well as a local fire department, a local sheriff’s department, and several community organizations, including Inspire and the Corona-Norco YMCA. Hazardous Materials Incident at Centennial High School

On Monday, Sept. 7, 2015 at approximately 7:47 p.m. the Corona Fire Department initiated a Hazardous Materials response after responding to a ringing fire alarm at Centennial High School. On Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 at approximately 12:45 a.m. the Corona Police Department dispatch received a phone call regarding a bomb threat at Centennial High School. The male caller stated that he had two bombs in backpacks planted in the school and that he was going to detonate them in the morning.
