Corona teen, Isabelle Richards, and the Corona Norco Interfaith Association (CNIA) have teamed up to take this theme to a new level. On Saturday May 9 they will host “Friends And Faith; Together But Not The Same” a free, interactive, interfaith activity for Corona and Norco middle and high school aged youth.

Circle City Chorale (C3), Circle City Singers, and the newly-formed Circle City Children’s Choir (C4) are all set for their spring show coming up Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17. C3 will be performing music in a variety of styles to please every taste. C4 will have its own set and perform in the same vein. To anchor the show, the combined choirs will sing “Happy,” the Grammy award-winning song by Pharrell Williams. This will be an experience sure to get you on your feet and bring a smile to your face.
The Corona-Norco Day of the Child has been bringing much needed resources and awareness to parents and fun activities to children for the past 22 years. This program has brought community service information to thousands of parents. This is a one-stop shopping center for all the activities and services in the Corona-Norco area: Child Care Services, YMCA, Corona Life Services, Fender Museum-Kids Rock Free, Corona Symphony Orchestra, Norco Library, Corona Fire and PD K9 Unit, and Boy Scouts of America, just to name a few.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, will hold a public meeting beginning at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 9 at the Corona High School Performing Arts Center[MAP] to present information and receive public input regarding preliminary plans for repainting a mural on the Prado Dam spillway.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest can occur anytime and the reality is that many people are not prepared or properly trained to recognize and assist those who are experiencing this condition. Those experiencing Sudden Cardiac Arrest are in need of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The Corona Fire Department is pleased to announce and provide a new CPR Training program to assist in Sudden Cardiac Arrest survivability. The “2 Hands + 2 Hours = 1 Life” training consists of video instruction, periods of lecture and realistic hands-on practice and takes less than two hours. Though the training does not provide a “certification” in CPR, it does give you the skills to save a person’s life.
The Friends of RCCD Forensics invite you to help celebrate their 10th Anniversary Benefit Art Auction on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona with your attendance. Local artists’ and Riverside Community College District student works in watercolor, acrylic, drawing, glass, jewelry, photography and more will be up for silent and live auction.

Soroptimist International of Corona and the Alliance for Family Wellness will be hosting an “Evening of Laughter” to be held on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. The silent auction and appetizers are at 6 p.m., followed by an exciting evening of outstanding comics that will have the audiences laughing. Headliner is Chris Strait from TRU-TV’s “Worlds Dumbest” and a collection of other performers including Mel Austin, Jason Love, Laniea D., and Gabriella Francis. The event will be held at the Historic Civic Center Auditorium at 815 West 6th Street in Corona.

Circle City Rotary and Corona Norco YMCA have teamed together to bring fun and flavor together to benefit our community with the first Annual Chili Cook-off and Craft Beer Festival. On Jan. 31, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Corona Norco Family YMCA at 1331 River Road in Corona [MAP], there will be a wonderful combination of food & fun for all ages.
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way… to the Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration! The annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Celebration will take place on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the South Lawn of City Hall [MAP]. This eagerly anticipated family tradition features live entertainment, the lighting of the holiday tree, activities for children, and the return of the popular snow play area to begin the holiday season in Corona.
