Corona Symphony Orchestra “Circle City Suite”

The Corona Symphony Orchestra will present the debut of the “Circle City Suite”. The Corona Symphony Orchestra has commissioned Dr. Glenn Pickett to compose a 5 movement suite that musically highlights the rich history of Corona. Each movement represents a chapter in Corona’s history.

There will be a projected illustrations and narration as the suite is being played.
Movement 1: The Luiseno Native Americans of Temescal Valley
Movement 2: The Butterfield Stagecoach that came through Corona
Movement 3: The Corona Road Race of 1916
Movement 4: The Norconian Resort converted to a hospital during WW II
Movement 5: The Future of Corona

Also included in the concert will be: Copland’s ” Outdoor Overture”
Peter Boyer’s “New Beginnings”
Bernstein’s “Overture to Candide”

Crime/Mystery Author Luncheon


The Friends of the Corona Public Library invite you to the 4th annual Crime/Mystery Author Luncheon. Join in on the fun for a “thrilling” catered lunch featuring a panel of crime and mystery authors. Star Wars Day at the library!



Calling all Star Wars fans! The Corona Public Library is hosting Star Wars Day on September 24, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Enjoy light saber demonstration shows at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.  Meet and mingle with your favorite Star Wars characters, take part in the Jedi Training Activity Center, and have your pictures taken, too!

New Opportunity to Help You Be Water Efficient – Drip Irrigation!

Did you know that residential sprinklers typically run at only 50% efficiency? That means half of the water from sprinklers is being wasted from runoff, over spray or other inefficiencies. Drip irrigation systems run at about 95% efficiency, that’s because the water is going directly to the spot where the water needs to be. To help our residents, the City of Corona Department of Water and Power (DWP) will be offering a new program to teach residents how to successfully convert an area of their yard from sprinklers to drip irrigation.... Christian Arts and Theatre (CAT) is hosting its 5th Annual CAT Classic Golf Tournament on Monday, September 26, 2016.

The tournament will be held at Eagle Glen in Corona where they have the private use of the golf course for the entire day. The tournament includes lunch, dinner, a golf cart for two, a chance to win prizes, and more.
