The Traffic Bureau is proud to present its "Drive 4 Life" teen driver safety program Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014. This program is designed for young drivers who have a license as well as those who are about to get one. Our goal is to provide a FREE service to our community by educating our young drivers and their parents in an effort to promote traffic safety on our roadways and to prevent fatal traffic collisions.
Corona City Hall is hosting a Riverside County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event Saturday and Sunday Oct. 18 and 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Corona City Hall Parking Lot [MAP].
This is a great time to recycle your old paint, used oil, chemicals, batteries, and propane tanks. Help protect our environment and make the City of Corona safe for our families. This event is open to all Riverside County and Corona residents.

The Corona Fire and Police Department invite you to attend our annual Public Safety Day on Oct. 4, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join us for a day of fun, education and excitement for the entire family at the Crossings at Corona Shopping Center in front of Kohl’s Store, at Cajalco Rd. and I-15.
This free event is family friendly and will feature information booths of many public safety related topics.

On July 20, 2014, the Corona Police Department began hosting its fifth police explorer academy. The academy is a week-long and culminates with a graduation ceremony on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Thirty-three young men and women are enrolled in this year’s explorer academy. Each day the explorers receive instruction in a class setting, on subjects such as career choices, first aid, leadership, lifetime fitness, handcuffing, K-9 tactics and communications.

On Wednesday, August 6th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1p.m. at the Sizzler Restaurant (1461 Rimpau Avenue), the Corona Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Corona will present “Your Local Government: Working for You” as part of the Women’s Leadership Luncheon series. The luncheon will feature Mayor Karen Spiegel who will explain the different forms of government and the role of the City Council.
The Corona Police Department invites you, your neighbors, and community groups to be a part of National Night Out (NNO), Tuesday, August 5,2014. NNO events are intended to heighten crime and drug awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. We want to send a message back to criminals letting them know that Corona neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real – sometimes referred to as POTR – is an American rock group based out of California. The band consists of Lukas Nelson (vocals/guitar), Anthony Logerfo (drums), Corey McCormick (bass), and Tato Melgar (percussion).
POTR will appear at the Fender Center Rhythm Lounge on Aug. 16, 2014 at 8 p.m., doors open for VIP at 7 p.m. and General Admission at 7:30 p.m. The VIP pre-concert reception includes Meet & Greet with artist, 2 complimentary wine/soft drink tickets, munchies and preferred seating prior to GA entry. Lukas Nelson will be featured at a Master Class earlier in the day.

The City’s popular concert series brings cool tunes to those hot summer nights so bring your friends and family, roll out a blanket, pop up that lawn chair, and enjoy the sunset over Corona listening to sweet harmonies by talented performers.

The Parade begins at the intersection of Main and Ontario at 10 a.m. and moves north to Olive Avenue. Grab a seat early along Main Street near one of the three announcers’ booths along the route located at the intersections of Main/Pueblo, Main/Rancho, and Main/Francis to watch the more than 70 entries representing local sports teams, non-profits, and businesses celebrate Independence Day in our community.
