What are the new rules for money and how can I whip up my wardrobe? If you want to know the answers to these questions and many more, the inaugural Women’s Leadership Conference (WLC) is the place for you! Occurring on Wednesday, August 29th, the Conference is designed to help women enhance, reconnect and refocus their lives.
Hosted by the Greater Corona Valley Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Corona, the Conference will feature nine breakout sessions on a variety of tantalizing and relevant topics as well as three dynamic and prestigious keynote speakers. The WLC is destined to become a signature event for Inland Southern California!
Registration for the WLC is available on the Chamber web site – MyChamber.org. Early bird enrollment fees are $55 for Chamber members and $65 for non-members. Beginning August 10, the fee increases to $75 and $85 respectively. The conference fee includes continental breakfast; opening, morning and closing sessions with featured speakers; breakout sessions; lunch; and the Wine Reception with the Mayor, but the experience and knowledge you’ll acquire is truly priceless.
The nine breakout sessions feature topics that will appeal to every woman. For professional women the WLC will enhance your business savvy and develop your inner power while you make powerful connections with other professionals. Personal Finance: New Rules of Money will be led by Ann Poloko, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM and has dedicated her career to helping her clients making sense of the multi-faceted issues relating to one’s financial affairs.
One Great Goal: Discover the Power of One! will be presented by Ursula Mentjes, M.S. founder of Sales Coach Now, as well as a Sales Expert, Inspirational Speaker, Author and Certified Sales Coach who specializes in NLP to help her clients double and triple their sales.
Women Owned Business/Minority Owned Business will be led by Jill Andrews, the Lead Business Development Specialist and Sylvia Gutierrez, a Business Development Specialist, both in the Santa Ana District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Leadership Intensive: Making a Difference will be led Rachel Michelin, Executive Director/CEO of California Women Lead, California’s largest nonpartisan association of women leaders, issue neutral association committed to encouraging and training women to be leaders in their communities.
The Mentor Advantage will be shared by Debra Murphy, a Vice President with Union Bank and very active in the community, having served in many leadership roles and Nicole Kinney, the Director at Inland Empire Women’s Business Center and leads the Corona Women’s Business Partnership.
Six Mistakes Business Owners Make Online will be taught by Eydie Stumpf, a Social Media Coach who specializes in helping her clients create an Internet presence for business owners using the social media and e-mail marketing platforms.
Whip Up Your Wardrobe will be presented by Caryn Valdiserri, a Personal Stylist Manager at Nordstrom at the Riverside Galleria where you will learn to look good and feel great.
How to make Lemonade when you’re given Lemons! will be led by Ricki McManuis is Director of Development at College of Education at Cal State San Bernardino University.
Joining Forces: The Value of Making Connections will be presented by Janet Steiner is President and CEO of Thoro Packaging, in a predominantly male industry, she has spent 25 years forging many a trail.
